December is a time full of magic and excitement, which is why we want to invite you to spend the days leading up to these special dates in a unique and magical destination, Lapland. Salla is one of the most visited destinations in all of Finnish Lapland thanks to its pristine and untouched surroundings. Its latitude makes it one of the most spectacular places in Lapland and where the first snowfalls arrive earlier and in greater quantities than some more northern areas of Lapland. During this fantastic program, you will enjoy the best activities and excursions that you can find in Lapland, from short snowshoeing routes to long snowmobile rides. Additionally, these days are an ideal time to pay a visit to Santa Claus in his private cabin and deliver your letter directly to him.

Day 1. Madrid - Rovaniemi - Salla

At the indicated time, meet our staff at the airport for check-in on a direct flight to Rovaniemi, Finland. Your journey to Lapland begins here! Direct flight schedule (local time): Madrid - Rovaniemi 09.00 - 15.00 h. Upon arrival at Rovaniemi airport, you will be assisted and transferred to Salla, approximately 150 km away from the airport. You will arrive in this winter wonderland, where Finland's newest national park was established in 2021. Salla is located in a fantastic natural environment, in one of the most pristine, untouched and sparsely populated areas of Europe, where the latitude and altitude make it the first and heaviest snowfall in Lapland. You will be accommodated in your cabin. All cabins are very comfortable and cozy, equipped with full amenities to make your stay unforgettable, including bathroom(s) with shower, heating, your own sauna, one or more bedrooms (see descriptions based on size and capacity at the end of the itinerary), a fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, etc. In addition, unlimited firewood for the fireplace and sleds for children will be available to you free of charge. Just a few minutes' walk from your private cabin is the small alpine ski resort of Salla, ideal for skiers of all levels as well as for families to slide down the slopes on sleds. Thermal suits in your size will be waiting for you at your accommodation, available for your use upon arrival and throughout your stay. Once settled in and equipped with your thermal clothing, dinner will be served at the Kiela restaurant in the Salla Tuvat complex. Accommodation for the night.

Day 2. Salla - Reindeer sleigh ride and dinner in a Kota

After our first night in Salla, and a hearty buffet breakfast served at the resort restaurant, we'll head to a nearby reindeer farm to learn about the reindeer way of life and take a relaxing sleigh ride through the snowy forest, pulled by a reindeer. During the activity, we'll visit the enclosure where pregnant females spend the winter, as well as some of the young that are not yet old enough to pull the sleds. We'll be able to feed them by hand and have an incredible time with them. We'll enjoy lunch in a "kota," which is a traditional Lappish tent similar in shape to teepees or Native American tents. The rest of the afternoon is free. Continuing our Lapland experience, for dinner we'll be transferred to a wooden kota to enjoy a very special meal made with delicious local produce from nearby. During the evening, our hosts will tell us old stories and local shamanic traditions... An unforgettable dinner in a unique setting. Return to our cabin to rest and recharge for the next day.

Day 3. Salla - Husky sledding, snowshoeing, ice fishing, and cinema.

We continue to enjoy our unique destination and activities. After a hearty and necessary buffet breakfast served at the resort restaurant, we will begin one of the most exciting excursions of our trip: a dog sled ride. Although most of the dogs are huskies, other breeds are also trained to pull the sleds, which they do with great enthusiasm. Once we have received the necessary advice to enjoy the experience safely, we will become expert mushers of an authentic husky dog sled. Driving a husky sled through the snowy forests of Salla is certainly one of the best experiences one can have on a trip to Lapland. Today we will have a local-style lunch of hot soup and grilled sausages around a bonfire in the middle of the forest. We will continue with local traditions by taking a snowshoe walk through the snowy Lapland forest until we reach a frozen lake where we can try our luck at ice fishing. After a day of new experiences, we will return to our accommodation, where we can relax and enjoy an authentic Finnish sauna in our private cabin. An evening of cinema and popcorn awaits us, starting aboard a Lapland train where the wagons are sleds and the locomotive is a snowmobile, which will take us to the auditorium (about 3km from the Kiela restaurant) where a family-friendly movie will be shown, revealing a magical world to us. Tonight we will enjoy dinner at the Kiela restaurant in Salla Tuvat. Return to our cabin to rest and recharge for the next day.

Oulanka National Park

Day 4. Salla - Oulanka National Park.

After breakfast, we will depart by coach to Oulanka National Park. We will arrive at the Visitor Center of Oulanka National Park where we can explore the new exhibition about nature and wildlife. Then we will walk approximately 1 kilometer to see the most beautiful and photographed rapids of Kiutaköngäs. Next, we will find a place for a pleasant and warm lunch at Basecamp Oulanka. With a full stomach, it's nice to take a short walk of 500 meters to the rapids area where the old mill and a suspension bridge over the water can be found. We will have the opportunity to take beautiful photographs and relax while listening to the roar of the Kitka River. On the way back to Salla, we may stop to see more white-throated dippers near the Käylä bridges. We will return to our accommodation where we will have free time to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Dinner at the Kiela restaurant.

Day 5. Salla - Snowmobile Safari

A new day dawns in Lapland filled with unique moments and activities. After having a complete buffet breakfast at the Kiela restaurant in the Salla Tuvat complex, we will experience a unique adventure riding powerful snowmobiles through snowy forests and frozen lakes. We will discover the sensation of having a hot coffee or chocolate in the middle of a bonfire while contemplating the bucolic image of Lapland's nature. All of this while being fully equipped against the cold and having received all the necessary safety and snowmobile handling instructions (it is very easy) to enjoy the activity. For the peace of mind of parents, younger children will enjoy the snowmobile safari in a sled pulled by the guides' snowmobiles. After this unforgettable experience on our Lapland trip, it is time for lunch which we will have prepared at the Kiela restaurant. Free time to rest until dinner time. Tonight's dinner will be at the Kiela restaurant, in our cabin complex. Here, you will dine in a cozy and casual atmosphere. The restaurant is a member of "Chaîne des Rôtisseurs", a famous French gastronomic society that nurtures and supports local food culture and pays tribute to national cuisine. Day 6. Children's multi-activities, mini snowmobiles, private meeting with Santa Claus, and spa.

After a good breakfast buffet, we will head to a nearby reindeer farm (just 5 minutes from our cabins) where we will enjoy fun snow activities for the whole family: snowshoe walks, Lappish lasso throwing, snow hockey, feeding the reindeer, and even the possibility of driving mini snowmobiles on a safe circuit. While having fun in this environment, we will wait for the call of an elf who will take us on a snowmobile-pulled sled to a secret location in the middle of the forest where Santa Claus is waiting for us. Privately, family by family, we will be transported by a guide's snowmobile-pulled sled to a magical place in the forest to meet Santa Claus in person, chat with him, take photos, and enjoy a magical encounter. Our dear friend Santa Claus will thank us for our visit by giving each child a gift. Lunch at the Kiela restaurant. Rest of the afternoon free. Tonight we will have dinner at the Kiela restaurant in Salla Tuvat. Return to our cabin after a day of magical experiences to rest.

Day 7. Salla

Buffet breakfast at the Kiela restaurant. After a week full of adventures and emotions, we will have a free day to continue enjoying the surroundings. Today is the ideal time to relax in the Spa of the hotel complex and enjoy its hot tubs, heated pools with water jets and saunas. It's perfect for the whole family to relax and have fun, as admission is included and allowed for both adults and children and it can be reached by walking from the cabin. It is essential to bring swimwear and slippers, but if you forget with the excitement of the day, don't worry...swimwear can be rented there. Today we will enjoy lunch at the Kiela restaurant. For a Lapland afternoon, we recommend enjoying skiing, as a few minutes' walk away we have the Salla alpine ski family resort, with illuminated slopes. We can purchase the ski pass by hours (from 1 hour), as well as the rental of equipment, a great experience for lovers of this sport with fantastic snow taking advantage of the time to the fullest as there are no queues on the lifts. Day 8. Salla - Rovaniemi - Madrid

Last day in Lapland. After enjoying the buffet breakfast at the Kiela restaurant, we will head to Rovaniemi. Arrival at the Santa Claus Village, located just above the imaginary and magical line of the Arctic Circle, where we can visit its craft and souvenir shops, send a letter or postcard from Santa Claus' official Post Office and visit the different attractions that are part of this magical world. With this visit, we will put the finishing touch to this dream trip. Continuation to the airport, located less than 3 km from the Santa Claus Village. Check-in procedures for our direct flight to Madrid. Direct flight schedule (local time): Rovaniemi - Madrid 4:00 p.m. - 8:15 p.m. During the flight, we will enjoy a snack-dinner on board with drinks included. Arrival and end of the trip.

Diciembre es una época llena de magia e ilusión por eso queremos invitarte a pasar los días previos a estas fechas tan señaladas en un destino único y mágico, Laponia. Salla es uno de los destinos más visitados de toda la Laponia finlandesa gracias a sus entornos vírgenes e intactos. Su latitud hace que sea uno de los lugares más espectaculares de Laponia y donde antes llegan las primeras nevadas, incluso en mayor cantidad y antes que a algunas zonas más norteñas de Laponia. Durante este fantástico programa disfrutaréis de las mejores actividades y excursiones que podéis encontrar en Laponia, desde pequeñas rutas con raquetas de nieve hasta largos recorridos en moto de nieve. Además estos días son un momento ideal para hacer una visitilla a Papa Noel en su cabaña privada y entregarle tu carta directamente.

Día 1. Madrid - Rovaniemi - Salla

A la hora indicada presentación en aeropuerto con la asistencia de nuestro personal para la facturación del vuelo directo con destino a Rovaniemi (Finlandia). ¡Iniciáis aquí vuestro viaje a Laponia! Horarios de vuelo directo (horas locales): Madrid – Rovaniemi 09.00 - 15.00 h Llegada al aeropuerto de Rovaniemi. Asistencia y traslado hasta Salla, situado a 150 km aprox del aeropuerto. Llegada a este paraíso blanco donde en el año 2021 se estableció el último parque nacional de Finlandia. Salla está ubicado en un fantástico entorno natural, en una de las zonas más vírgenes, intactas y menos pobladas de toda Europa donde, por su latitud, altitud se suelen recibir las primeras y más copiosas nevadas de Laponia. Acomodación en vuestra cabaña. Todas las cabañas, son muy confortables y acogedoras y disponen de un completo equipamiento para que vuestra estancia sea inolvidable; cuarto/s de baño/s con ducha, calefacción, sauna propia, una o varias habitaciones (ver descripciones según tamaño y capacidad de la mismas al final del itinerario), chimenea y cocina equipada con nevera, microondas, etc. Además, tendréis a vuestra disposición, de forma gratuita, leña ilimitada para la chimenea y trineos para los niños. A unos pocos minutos caminando de vuestra cabaña privada está la pequeña estación de esquí alpino de Salla, ideal tanto para esquiadores de todos los niveles como para disfrutar en familia deslizándonos sobre los trineos. En nuestro alojamiento tendremos los trajes térmicos de nuestra talla esperándonos para poder usarlos desde nuestra llegada y durante toda nuestra estancia. Una vez instalado y ya equipados con la ropa térmica, cena en el restaurante Kiela del complejo de Salla Tuvat. Alojamiento.

Día 2. Salla - Trineo de renos y cena en Kota

Hemos pasado nuestra primera noche en Salla y después de un potente y necesario desayuno buffet, servido en el restaurante del complejo, nos dirigiremos a la granja de renos cercana para conocer el modo de vida de los renos y realizaremos un relajante paseo en un trineo arrastrado por un reno por el bosque nevado. Durante la actividad, visitaremos el corral donde se encuentran las hembras que están embarazadas durante el invierno así como algunas crías que todavía no tienen la edad suficiente para tirar de los trineos. Les podremos dar de comer de la mano y pasar un rato increíble con ellos. Disfrutaremos del almuerzo en una “kota”, que es una típica tienda lapona con forma similar a los teepees o tiendas de los indios americanos. Resto de la tarde libre. Continuando con nuestro día lapón, a la hora de cenar, nos trasladaremos a una kota de madera para degustar una cena muy especial, a base de ricos productos locales de cercanía. Durante la velada, nuestros anfitriones nos irán contando viejas historias y tradiciones locales de chamanes… Una cena inolvidable en un entorno único. Regreso a nuestra cabaña para descansar y reponer energías para el siguiente día.

Día 3. Salla - Trineo de huskies, raquetas de nieve, pesca en el hielo y cine.

Seguimos disfrutando del destino y actividades únicas. Después de un potente y necesario desayuno buffet, servido en el restaurante del complejo, iniciaremos una de las excursiones más emocionantes de nuestro viaje; un paseo en trineo de perros. Aunque la mayoría de los perros son de raza husky, se pueden encontrar otras expertas y entrenadas para tirar de los trineos, cosa que hacen con mucho gusto. Llegado el momento y tras recibir los consejos para disfrutar de la experiencia de una manera segura, nos convertiremos en magistrales mushers de un auténtico trineo de perros huskies. Desde luego, conducir un trineo de huskies por los bosques nevados de Salla es una de las mejores experiencias que se pueden tener en un viaje a Laponia. Hoy almorzaremos como auténticos locales una buena sopa caliente y salchichas asadas alrededor de una hoguera en medio del bosque para continuar con tradiciones de la tierra: realizaremos un paseo en raquetas de nieve por el nevado bosque lapón hasta llegar a un lago helado donde podremos probar suerte practicando la pesca a través del hielo. Tras una jornada de nuevas experiencias, regresaremos a nuestro alojamiento, donde podremos descansar y disfrutar de una auténtica sauna finlandesa en nuestra cabaña privada. Nos espera una tarde de cine y palomitas, que comienza a bordo de un tren lapón, en el que los vagones son trineos y la locomotora una motonieve, para conducirnos al auditorio (a unos 3km del restaurante Kiela) donde se proyectará una película para todos los públicos que nos descubrirá un mundo mágico. Esta noche degustaremos la cena en el restaurante Kiela de Salla Tuvat. Regreso a nuestra cabaña para descansar y reponer energías para el siguiente día.

Oulanka National Park

Día 4. Salla - Parque nacional Oulanka.

Después del desayuno saldremos en autocar hacia el Parque Nacional de Oulanka. Hasta. Llegaremos al Centro de Visitantes del Parque Nacional de Oulanka donde podremos explorarl a nueva exposición sobre la naturaleza y la vida silvestre. Después caminaremos 1 kilómetro aprox. para ver los más bellos y fotografiados rápidos de Kiutaköngäs. A continuación encontraremos un lugar para un agradable y cálido almuerzo en el Basecamp Oulanka. Con el estómago lleno es agradable dar un pequeño paseo de 500 metros hasta la zona de los rápidos donde se encuentra el viejo molino y un puente colgante sobre el agua. Tendremos la posibilidad de tomar hermosas fotografías y relajarnos escuchando el rugido del río Kitkarío. En el camino de regreso a Salla es posible parar para ver más mirlos acuáticos de garganta blanca cerca de los puentes de Käylä. Regresaremos a nuestro alojamiento donde nos quedará tiempo libre para relajarnos disfrutando del entorno. Cena en restaurante Kiela.

Día 5. Salla - Safari en motos de nieve

Amanece un nuevo día en Laponia lleno de momentos y actividades únicas. Después de tomar un completo desayuno buffet en el restaurante Kiela del complejo de Salla Tuvat, vamos a vivir una experiencia única subidos en potentes motos de nieve atravesando bosques nevados y lagos helados. Descubriremos la sensación de tomar un café o chocolate caliente en medio de una hoguera contemplando la bucólica imagen de la naturaleza lapona. Todo ello habiéndonos equipado completamente contra el frío y habiendo recibido todas las instrucciones de seguridad y manejo de la moto (es muy sencillo) necesarias para lograr disfrutar de la actividad. Para tranquilidad de los papás y mamás, los más pequeños irán disfrutando del safari de motos de nieve en un trineo arrastrado por las motos de los guías. Tras esta experiencia inolvidable en nuestro viaje a Laponia, llega la hora del almuerzo que tendremos preparado en el restaurante Kiela. Tiempo libre para descansar hasta la hora de la cena. La cena de hoy será en el restaurante Kiela, en nuestro complejo de cabañas. Aquí cenaréis en un ambiente acogedor y desenfadado. El restaurante es miembro de "Chaîne des Rôtisseurs", una afamada sociedad gastronómica francesa que nutre y apoya la cultura alimentaria local y rinde homenaje a la cocina nacional. En 2008 otorgaron al restaurante Kiela su sello de excelencia en reconocimiento a la alta calidad de la comida y el servicio. Regreso a nuestra cabaña. Alojamiento.

Día 6. Multiactividades infantiles, mini moto nieves, encuentro privado con Santa Claus y Spa.

Tras un buen desayuno buffet, nos dirigiremos a la granja de renos cercana (a 5 minutos de nuestras cabañas) donde disfrutaremos de actividades en la nieve muy divertidas para toda la familia: paseos en raquetas de nieve, lanzamiento de lazo lapón, hockey sobre nieve, alimentar a los renos y dar un pequeño paseo en un trineo, siendo una de ellas la posibilidad de conducir unas pequeñas motos de nieve en un circuito seguro. Mientras nos divertimos en este entorno esperamos la llamada de un elfo que nos conducirá en un trineo tirado por una moto de nieve hasta un lugar secreto en medio del bosque donde Santa Claus nos está esperando. De manera privada, familia por familia, nos trasladaremos en trineo de nieve llevado por una moto del guía hasta un lugar mágico en medio del bosque en busca de Santa Claus. Conoceremos en persona al mismísimo Santa Claus, podremos conversar con él, hacernos fotos… y disfrutar de un encuentro mágico. Nuestro entrañable amigo, Santa Claus, agradecerá nuestra visita entregando un regalo a cada niño. Almuerzo en el restaurante Kiela. Resto de la tarde libre. Esta noche degustaremos la cena en el restaurante Kiela de Salla Tuvat. Regreso a nuestra cabaña tras una jornada de vivencias mágicas para descansar.

Día 7. Salla

Desayuno buffet en el restaurante Kiela. Tras una semana llena de aventuras y emociones, dispondremos de un día libre para poder seguir disfrutando del entorno. Hoy es el momento ideal para relajarnos en el Spa del complejo del hotel y disfrutar de sus jacuzzis, piscinas climatizadas con chorros de agua y saunas. Es ideal para que se relaje y divierta toda la familia, pues la entrada está incluida y permitida tanto a adultos como niños y se puede ir caminando desde la cabaña. Imprescindible llevar bañador y zapatillas, aunque si con la emoción del día os olvidáis, no os preocupéis…se puede alquilar el bañador allí. Hoy disfrutaremos del almuerzo en el restaurante Kiela. Para pasar una tarde lapona, os recomendamos disfrutar del esquí, ya que a pocos minutos caminado tenemos la estación familiar esquí alpino de Salla, con pistas iluminadas. Podemos adquirir el forfait por horas (desde 1h), así como el alquiler del material, una gran experiencia para los amantes de este deporte con una nieve fantástica aprovechando el tiempo al máximo ya que no hay colas en los remontadores. Día 8. Salla - Rovaniemi - Madrid

Último día en tierras laponas. Tras degustar el desayuno buffet en el restaurante Kiela, emprenderemos el camino a Rovaniemi. Llegada a la Aldea de Santa Claus, situada justo sobre la imaginaria y mágica línea del Círculo Polar Ártico, donde podremos visitar sus tiendas de artesanía y souvenirs, enviar una carta o postal desde la Oficina de Correos oficial de Papá Noel y visitar las diferentes atracciones que forman parte de este mundo mágico. Con esta visita conseguiremos poner el broche final a este viaje de ensueño. Continuación al aeropuerto, situado a menos de 3 km de la Aldea de Santa Claus. Trámites de facturación de nuestro vuelo directo con destino Madrid. Horarios de vuelo directo (horas locales): Rovaniemi – Madrid 16.00 – 20.15 h Durante el vuelo disfrutaremos de una merienda-cena a bordo con bebida incluida. Llegada y fin del viaje.
